Re: New plug-in: Tone Generator
Minor update to the plug-in. Mostly correcting typos in the help screens but also some bug fixes in the error checking code. No functional changes. Updated description in the original post to indicate that it is more likely to be of interest to people that are interested in experimenting with Nyquis...

Camstudio will be writing a lot of data to disk.ndkilla wrote:by memory he means the HDD, not ram. Although I'm sure that game doesn't take up much of either.

Re: Recorded Audio - Warbling / Modulation
I dont see the " Allow appications etc. etc to take control" I am using WIN XP. XP does not have that option. On XP, the "enhancements" that Koz spoke of are not provided by Windows, though some sound cards do provide similar kinds of "effects". Look carefully in your ...

Re: Ann: Simple Dual-Fade Plugin
Thanks for the pointer. Looks promising. Obviously I didn't search hard enough before writing my own plug-in :) . There's nothing wrong with reinvention ;) Nyquist is there to be used, so we like to encourage experimentation. I hope you enjoyed making your own version. By the way, if you wish to po...

Re: Creating space for reverb within a track
Which reverb effect are you using? If you are using GVerb you will need to add enough silence at the end of the voice to allow for the reverb. To do that, select the voice track then press the "K" key to move the cursor to the end of the track "Generate menu > Silence" to generat...

Re: Crackle on recording
Windows has a habit of gradually slowing down, partly as a result of accumulated junk, partly through disk fragmentation (Win XP was more susceptible to this than recent versions of Windows), partly through program updates gradually making programs "heavier",.... For Windows XP it can be v...

Re: Random static when recording through USB mixer
If the USB connection is disrupted even for a brief moment it can lose synchronization and the audio data turns into garbage (static / noise). Stopping the connection and restarting it can allow the audio data stream to be restarted "in sync". There are a lot of things that can cause the m...

I take your point Koz, though what you say can only be an assumption (as was my comment). We have no way of knowing if no-one comments.
Thanks very much for the comment Koz, I no longer feel alone in the universe

Re: Generate starts its own track.
and suddenly realized I could not summarize what the actual FR is From Koz's last post on the subject: pop a dialog box: Start a new track [ ]? Or make it part of the existing dialog for, for example, what kind of noise do you want, etc. etc. I suspect that (yet another) pop-up warning would be hig...

Re: New plug-in: Stereo Echo
New version with improved error checking. It really is incredible that there has been over a hundred downloads of the original version of this plug-in and not a single comment. I assume that people like these plug-ins or they wouldn't continue to download them. User feedback is essential for designe...
