Re: How to mark spots on audio file to fast forward to
I convert an audible file from itunes (using amersoft software) to a wma file, load it into audacity, do some editing, than export to a mp3 file and put it back into itunes and onto my ipod. This process causes it to lose the ability to fast forward to various chapters, Let's take the first step: &...

Re: NOISE REMOVAL,PLEASE!
Could you post a link to an example so that we can hear how much and what sort of noise you are talking about.
Also, could you attach a WAV file recording of a couple of piano notes (unprocessed raw recording) so that we can hear what your starting material is like.

Re: Help with Cathedral Reverb
Audacity includes the effects: Delay Echo GVerb Equalization Combining these effects will allow you to produce a wide range of effects of that type. If you are on Windows there are also VST echo and reverb effects available. For a Nyquist solution you could try something like: (mult 2 (feedback-dela...

Re: Converting Triangle Wave to Sine?
Hello, I'm new to this Board and want to know if there is a Nyquist Prompt for Converting Triangle or Sawtooth Waves into Sine Waves. If you know the frequency of the triangle wave then you can convert it to a sine wave by filtering out all frequencies above the fundamental. For example, to convert...

Re: remix two mono files without delay!?
This type of question would be better sent to SoX support, (via the sox-users mailing list http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=10706 ) However: (there seems to be a bug/limitation of the delay effect that the audio being delayed must be at least 1 second duration) try: sox -M mono1.wav "|sox ...

Re: Noise Removal Not Working
I could upload a five second or so clip of the noise by itself if you like. 5 seconds of noise (on its own) as a WAV file and 2 or 3 seconds of the audio + noise as another WAV file would allow us to try different settings and give some indication of what is possible. Also, and advice on what I cou...
Re: exporting
Audacity has better audio processing/editing abilities than most video editors, so a common procedure is to open a video in a video program and export the audio track as a WAV file. The WAV file can then be edited / processed in Audacity and exported from Audacity as another WAV file. The new (edite...

Re: ReplayGain
I am used to changing my MP3 files with MP3GAIN to 95dB. Which level should I enter on the slider of this PLUGIN? Don't confuse this plug-in with the usual implementations of ReplayGain. This plug-in does not add ReplayGain Metadata. See the first few post of this topic for an explanation of what t...
Re: exporting
YouTube does not support audio files. You need to make a video file. Audacity does not support video.
