Re: Doesn't scroll vertically when selecting
I'm on a laptop, so I don't have a scroll wheel. If you intend to do a lot of work in Audacity, I would highly recommend getting a wireless mouse. I've recently treated myself to a nice "Tecknet" wireless mouse, but before that I was using a $7 wireless mouse that worked very well for ove...

Re: Doesn't scroll vertically when selecting
there is a problem when I want to make a large selection. When I start near the top left and want to scroll to the bottom right off the screen, the window scrolls right OK, but not vertically. Should it? I've never known it to do that on Linux, and I can see that automatic vertical scrolling could ...

Let's say you're a viewer. Would you be too offput by the sound of my voice as is portrayed in this recording? If you intend it to sound like a WW1 Tannoy system / field radio, then it works, but I wouldn't like to listen to a lot of speech that sounds like that - OK if you're just giving short int...

Re: Playing a midi track
Because there are so many versions of Linux and the major distributions do their own packaging, we only supply source code for Linux.
Yes it would be nice if either the Ubuntu store fixed their Snap package so that it worked correctly, or stopped shipping it and just distributed the deb package.

Re: chipmunk effect
Then my voice recording began to play back slower than recorded, what turned out to be 10% When it changes, does it suddenly switch to a different speed, or gradually drift and then settle on a different speed? I am attempting to record a 1-hour radio program. How are you doing that? Are you using ...

Re: Generating tones from list of numbers
It would be possible to convert the data set to "frequency against time" with a bit of programming in Audacity's built-in scripting language "Nyquist". Here's an example of the kind of thing, using a small data set to represent frequencies. This can be run in the "Nyquist P...

Re: Generating tones from list of numbers
I've uploaded your attachments to the forum as that is more convenient for people reading the posts and avoids dead links in the future. It gives a track that looks like this: I would expect that to sound like a short "buzz". What I expect to hear is a general scratchy undulating tone, wit...
