Re: cannot see all tracks on Mixer Board
I don't seem to be able to reproduce that. Could you post a screen shot to show what you are seeing. Is the problem repeatable? Does the problem persist if you close the Mixer Board and reopen it? Does the problem persist if you resize the Mixer Board? Is it a very old computer? Is the graphics card...

Re: RECORDING - NOISE ONLY
Make sure that the USB device is connected and recognised by Windows before you open Audacity.
If Audacity is already running when you connect the device you will need to use "Transport menu > Rescan Audio Devices".

Use the Equalization effect to reduce high and low frequencies, then apply some reverb.

Re: speech delivery calculator
Audacity 1.2.6 is obsolete. You should upgrade to version 2.0.2 http://audacityteam.org/download/ In Audacity 2.x there is a tool in the Analyze menu called "Sound Finder". http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/analyze_menu.html#sound_detection This can detect and mark sounds with numbered ...

Re: RECORDING - NOISE ONLY
You have a feedback loop. That's when the sound that you are recording is somehow being played and re-recorded, which then plays and re-record... round and round in a "feedback loop". You need to break that chain. Check that you have the USB device selected as the Recording Input in the De...

Re: How to NOT record from the internal microphone?
I try to see if I can use the headphone jack to see if that would work. Headphone sockets are "outputs" but you need to plug into an input. If your laptop does not have a suitable input, you could buy a USB audio device. For recording a cassette player you will want one that has "Lin...

Re: Professional sounding fade out.
I'd like to come to an agreement about the specification now, rather than wait another 2 years . Taking into account arbitrary gain levels at the start and the end of the fade; Many of the terms used in my previous suggestion become meaningless. "Fade In" and "Fade Out" are defin...

Re: Professional sounding fade out.
Does genre or something else determine which works best? I'd say that fade-ins are a lot less common than fade outs. Mostly when I use them it's not really a "fade in" (from silence) but a cross-fade from something else. Often I'll try to find a "natural" sounding start point in...
