Re: Humming sound after sound effects

Try using the "Sliding Time Scale / Pitch Shift" effect instead.

Re: Trimming and joining multiple tracks easily?

Shown with mono tracks, but just the same with stereo tracks.
Use the Time Shift Tool to arrange the tracks like this:

When you export as an audio file, the tracks will be "mixed" to create a single audio file and the gaps between the tracks will be preserved.

Re: Using Effects in Audacity - to remove "echo"

Removing echo/reverb is almost impossible. If possible, use one of the Logitech mics.

Re: Boundary/conference microphone

The Logitec USB desktop microphone has had good reviews as a cheap microphone. It may be good enough for your purpose.

Re: Click Sound after Editing Small Bits

Clicks at edit points occur if the waveform on the two sides of the edit point do not match up - for example: firsttrack000.png This can sometimes be avoided by adjusting the section to be edited to the nearest Zero Crossing Point If there is still a click, then it can be repaired using the Repair e...

Re: Parametric EQ

Re: getting the correct FFmpeg_v0.6.2 fro Audacity for Windo

Using the left arrow cursor key does indeed allow you to back up digitally so you can go from 2m 3967 s to 2 m 3142 but it didn't seem to be able to go 2m 3967 s to 2m 3966 s, 2m 3965 s etc. How fast the cursor moves depends on the zoom level. If you need to position very precisely, zoom in. If you...

Re: Professional sounding fade out.

"Bullet shaped" works for the way that it looks, but unless people apply the fade to a generated tone the visual shape is not that obvious, and, just from the word, what would you imagine a "bullet" fade to sound like? I like the idea of "cut/boost mid-fade level" becau...

Re: Boundary/conference microphone

Unfortunately, once you get into the realms of "several meters" rather than "centimetres" you need very high sensitivity and very low noise, and that means money. The MX392 and MX393 from Shure are good for up to about 2 meters and cost around $140 US, plus you need a decent qual...
