Re: Chorus Effect

If the chorus is set to 1 voice, then 100% wet would have no chorus effect on its own, right? It would just be a slightly delayed and detuned version of the original. Yes. If more voices, then 100% wet would have the multiple processed voices but not the original and would sound "chorus-y"...

Re: Amplify/Fade to Target Level

And for why "fade to a target dB, not by an amount" (as requested with 16 votes on the wiki) does not work ... This plug-in does exactly as requested provided that the initial and final levels are not silent ("zero" cannot be amplified, so if the initial or final sample values ar...

Re: FFMpeg Library Not Working?

Can Audacity import this file:
test.ac3
short mono test tone
(55.1 KiB) Downloaded 154 times
If it can, then FFMpeg is working correctly but the file that you are trying to import is not supported by the build of FFMpeg that you are using.

Re: lossing quality exporting as aiff

Hi, I have good quality .aiff sounds and when i load into audacity manipulate them and export again as .aiff they loose considerable their sound quality. You will need to say step by step exactly what you are doing. Exporting in AIFF format should sound virtually identical to the original. Ive disc...

Re: consider me a noob. Downloaded audacity and....

Tell me where I'm going wrong. You will need to fill in some of the gaps: I'm using podxt live as my soundcard. So how exactly do you have that set up? For example: You have your guitar plugged into the podxt guitar input with a 1/4" jack lead, The podxt is connected to the laptop computer USB...

Re: Can't Record - Also "Error opening Sound Device"

Seems like you have been pretty thorough. We need to do some detective work to narrow down the problem. Windows includes a simple "Sound Recorder" program that records sound from the default recording input device. If you set the UCG102 as the default recording device in the Windows Sounds...

Re: AMR raw data import is just static??

Do you have FFMpeg installed?
If not, try installing FFMpeg and see if Audacity can import the file with "File > Import > Audio".
See here for installing FFMpeg: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... tml#ffdown

Re: Error Message: Couldn't find the project data folder

Figured you had given up on me when you didn't reply a second time. That gave me the hint that the secret was buried in your first reply, so I kept reading, thinking, trying things until I got it. We try to help as much as we can, but as we are all unpaid volunteers that help out here "for fun...
