Re: Sync problem with export multiple

if a global export preference is too "undiscoverable", It's not only that in preferences is too "undiscoverable", but that user's may need to frequently change the option depending on the job. It is appropriate for options that are essentially "set once" to be in prefe...

Re: Who is able to create a simple VST plugin or nq?

"- my idea is that plug-in starts selecting from end of previous useful signal and its decoy and stops according to set parameters - attack, level and duration of useful signal. The duration is to distinguish between short noises like mouse click and a words - which are longer" So it's all...

Re: Stereo Reverb

Pretty interesting, but what gives? Why is that called a "filter" instead of a "selective echoer"? See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comb_filter You guys should make a 1980s "shopping mall" and a 1970s "library" preset... I like the idea of a "1970s...

Re: Sync problem with export multiple

Anyway, the workaround is enough for me, I will continue to use Audacity, I think it's simply the best application to record and edit audio, the most intuitive... But it's in human nature, always asking for more! :) Indeed :) An other way could be to put a special offset information chunk in the wa...

Re: Sync problem with export multiple

But it's a long and dangerous workaround: .... The other approach (which I often use) is to export each track in WAV format immediately after recording it using Export Selection. This also serves as a backup. At this stage the pan is centre and gain is 0. Then I only have the relatively minor incon...

You don't need to immediately become a Nyquist expert, but I think the first thing is for you to get a little familiarity with Nyquist. Nyquist is well documented these days. This page is not yet complete, but has some fairly simple examples that you can try: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquis...

Re: Sync problem with export multiple

When a software doesn't do what you you want it to do, there are two kinds of reactions: You complain on a forum or a hotline if it's a professional stuff... Or you switch to another software. A third kind of reaction - accept the "problem" as "just the way that Audacity works",...

Re: Sync problem with export multiple

I know that Audacity is a big team If you include the worldwide user base then yes it's huge - many millions. In my opinion, a track shifted because of latency should be automaticaly converted to a regular track (that means without the symbol '<-' ) as soon as it is recorded. But I suppose it cause...

Re: low recording and playback

Two things to check: 1) Ensure that the Recording Input is set to the USB option in the Device Toolbar http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Device_Toolbar 2) Check that the USB mic is enabled in the Windows Sounds Control Panel and that the recording level is turned up: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wi...
