Re: Zero Crossing detection
Is the problem simply be due to rounding errors, being that some numbers cannot be expressed exactly in single precision float?

Re: Who is able to create a simple VST plugin or nq?
has been working with sound for about a week, can easily predict what is usefull signal and what is trash. Exactly correct. You or the software has to know what is valuable human speech and what isn't. If you simply take all the sibilance and ticks out of a human voice, it turns into mud. One of th...

Re: Sync problem with export multiple
I agree that the Export Multiple dialogue is quite complex already, which is why I would favour "advanced options" to be in a secondary dialogue (I'm not sure what a "static box" is) rather than as additional check boxes. The main Export dialogue already has a problem with the (f...

Re: Snap to Clicktrack
Do you want me to park this for you on the FR archive discsussion page for now until the proposal is written? Yes please. does this mean I don't need to move this to Wiki>Pending Feature Requests? Yes. There are already two very closely related feature requests on the wiki: BPM and beat timecode de...

Re: Zero Crossing detection
Well it's pretty quick, but sometimes it seems to slightly miscount. In tests it appears to sometimes be out by one on "size", and very occasionally mark positive to negative crossings instead of negative to positive. Example: Generate 7 seconds sine tone at 440 Hz with a track sample rate...

Nyquist Workbench for Nightly builds
I am a regular user of Nyquist Workbench on Linux, and although it may not yet be considered to be "release ready" I find it very useful. Setting up a build environment on Windows (or Mac OS X?) is far from trivial, (and certainly not an option on someone else's computer). 1) Nightly build...

Re: Just bought the behringer guitar link interface audacity
We've seen quite a few problems on the forum with unbranded "guitar link" interfaces, but as far as I'm aware there have not been any problems reported here about the genuine Behringer UCG 102 Guitar Link. It would be nice to hear from someone with a genuine UCG 102 that could give a full ...
