Re: using audacity with the raspberry pi?

I was wondering that too.
I've not found anyone that has tried it yet, though I am considering purchasing one. If I do I will certainly be trying it. If you try it first, be sure to let us know how you get on.

Re: i am new and i need help on making 22050hz mp3 to 44100h

That's what I thought.
That will change the sample rate of the track, but because the audio data is not "resampled" it will make any existing audio in the track play at a different speed. See here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tr ... .html#rate

I think you are setting the sample rate in the wrong place. You need to set the "Project Rate" which is in the lower left corner of the main Audacity window. If necessary you can than use "Tracks menu > Resample"

Please post your patch and I will be very willing to test it. If it works I will be more than happy to promote it and I'm sure that it will receive a considerable amount of backing.

Re: Professional sounding fade out.

Either way I quite like "High Point" and "Low Point" rather than "Maximum" and "Minimum". Looking at this again, doesn't "High Point" and "Low Point" suggest absolute levels rather than the amount of gain? For example: If a fade has: Maxim...

Re: i am new and i need help on making 22050hz mp3 to 44100h

i want to use a small part of the mp3 but to be 44100hz . Could you explain in more detail how you are wanting to use the small part of the MP3. If you just want to export it with a sample rate of 44100, change the "Project Rate" (lower left corner of the main Audacity window) to 44100 be...

Re: Automation From Excel

The way that I would approach the task would be: Start Audacity recording: Record "Access Granted" .... (space) Record "Access Denied"... (space) Record .... Stop the recording. Add labels to each of the recorded section http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/label_tracks.html The ...

Re: Cassette tape to laptop hardware?

The 222 is pink and Behringer supply proprietary drivers for the 222 which may provide some extra features (I don't know what extra features if any, or if the proprietary drivers will work with Audacity). Other than that they appear to be the same.

Re: Can I change the sample rate of a recording

In Windows the properties does not display the sample rate or at least not on my Win7 system. Sorry, you're correct, I keep forgetting how limited Windows is. There's a program called MediaInfo that will be able to tell you http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net (If you don't want to install the "bu...

Re: Sync problem with export multiple

That would probably be deemed "too long", but a rename and moving the button (on Windows) underneath the two dropdown boxes would likely help. If you mean, in the "Export Audio" dialogue, moving the Options button under the "Save as Type:" drop down menu, then there's ...
