Re: How do I take out the music cuz I only want the vocals?
If you have a multi-track project with each instruments on its own track, just mute the ones that you don't want to hear. If the instruments and vocals are already mixed into one track, there's not much that you can do, though there are some suggestions on this page that may help a bit: http://wiki....

Re: Removing Sounds from Two Near Identical Soundtracks
No. If the music is identical in all tracks, then simply adding them together (mixing) and then normalizing (amplifying) the volume back down to a normal level will reduce the level of any noises that exist on only one track. If the tracks are "very similar" but not "identical" t...

Re: No right-click function in the GUI?.....
Oh. Mac and Linux don't have that? Weeird. Linux has right click (and middle click if you want it). Old Mac's only had one mouse button - the joke is that Apple thought that two buttons was too complicated for Mac users. I have another question: how come you can't just move tracks around on the pag...

Sadly "auto-tune" is also becoming a staple technique - I hate it. If someone cannot sing in tune they should not be singing professionallysteve wrote:Close mic'ing, equalization, compression, reverb. These are staple techniques for vocal recording.

Re: How to bring the bass vocal range up in the mix
I had just applied the Noise Removal effect prior to posting it If you listen carefully you can hear "the room" (reverberation and the "colouration" of the frequency response) during the singing, but it cuts off abruptly between words. The problem with that is that to then apply...

Re: How to bring the bass vocal range up in the mix
I had a few minutes spare so I did a quick bit of post production. Sorry about some of the clashing chords, it was done very quickly ;) Basically I've raised the bass and the top end a little (Equalization), compressed the dynamics (Compressor effect) then some Delay and Reverb. For comparison there...

Re: How to bring the bass vocal range up in the mix
Thanks for the upload, but could you post a "raw" (completely unprocessed) sample.
Do you have a backing to go with it? The vocal will be able to carry a lot more "icing" when/if it is against a backing track.

Re: Error: Couldn't find the project data folder PLEASE HELP
It should be in the same folder as the .AUP file and should be called "airband_data".
