Re: Plug-Ins Specific ones - ModernPlugins4950
Did ALL you advised and still NFG. What does this have to do with "National Fuel Gas", or do you mean that you still have a problem? If the latter, please describe clearly what the problem is. Ensure that you followed Gale's instructions precisely - I've just tried installing the Modern P...

Re: Noise Removal Does Not Work
Could you import the file back into Audacity and select just the noise from the end of the file. Ensure that it is only the noise and does not include any of the real audio. Go to the Effect menu and select "Amplify" - do not press the "OK" button. What are the settings in Audaci...

Re: intermittent pops generated by audacity recording
An audio sample would be useful, but your attached .AUP file is not an audio file - we cannot play it - it is just one part of an Audacity Project (see here for an explanation: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/audacity_projects.html) Please export a short sample (just a few seconds) as a WAV fil...

Re: Opening the program
Bulletin.............Bulletin After downloading the PreSonus DAW software I was actually able to get the help desk to chat with me. A new, updated driver for the Audiobox seems to have solved the problem. Will keep you posted. Bob H Good grief, you'd have thought that they could have told you that ...

Re: How To Check An Audio Clips Properties
The short answer is that, other than by listening, you can't. Once the project is closed there is no record of what you did (other than volume envelopes, time track and gain / pan track sliders). The longer answer is that there are two types of audio editors; There are the so called "real time&...

Re: Noise Removal Does Not Work
How much and what sort of noise are you talking about?
What format are you exporting as?
Perhaps you could post a short sample to illustrate (see here for how to send audio samples: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 49&t=64936)

Re: Can we add effects without loss of track synchronization
"Time stretching" is a complex task. The method used by "Change Tempo" and "Change Pitch" involves chopping up the audio into tiny slices, stretching them, then stitching them back together again as neatly as possible, There are a lot of compromises in getting the piece...

Re: Professional sounding fade out.
You may hate me for this :D Now that I've played with the "linear" text box - I want to keep it. Yes I know that I argued against having linear controls, but that was before considering a single, empty by default text box. In addition to the dB sliders, it provides a really useful option. ...

Re: Sound evaluation. for instruments evaluation.
A "very good" microphone might not be the best tool. A "very good" vocal mic is designed to make vocals sound very good, not to give accurate measurements. You will probably get more useful measurements using a microphone that is designed for measurements. Behringer make an inexp...
