Re: Whawha efect error
Please try this:
Starting from Audacity being closed (not running):
1) Open Audacity
2) Generate menu > Noise (this will produce a track containing a loud "hiss" sound).
3) Effect menu > WahWah
What happens?

Re: Newbie: Stops recording after a few minutes
Topic split because it is a different set-up to that of the original post. Am I correct in thinking that a Mixtrack Pro is a controller interface that provides control over a software audio player on the computer and then plays that audio out through the Mixtrack Pro? What operating system are you u...

Re: Unable to record because of a discontinuing sound.
If I understand correctly, the problem of a loud "shhh" sound occurs whether Guitar Rig is running or not. Is that the case? If that is the case, then while we try to work out what is going on, leave Guitar Rig closed as it only complicates the issue. Have a look in the Audio Properties fo...

Re: Problem Loading Custom Keyboard Shortcuts
I can confirm (on Linux, with Audacity 2.0.3) that imported shortcuts are not "sticking".

Re: level out pitch
Steve (and anyone else), I guess that I'm looking for an application that will allow me to set a maximum frequency. Anything above that maximum would not be cut off, but just reduced to that maximum. This does not seem to be an impossible request to me. There must be a way to analyze frequencies, e...

Re: Noise Removal Does Not Work
As Steve said there is a chance this will increase distortion in quiet music Not just "a chance". Unless the audio is unprocessed 16 bit audio data it's a certainty that there will be increased distortion when converted to 16 bit if dither is disabled. If the peak audio level is close to ...
