Re: Speaker output not an option with ASIO

Re: Speaker output not an option with ASIO

However, the playback is also set to ASIO (going back to my mixer) and there are no other options. If I select WASPI I can choose my computer speakers as output. Is this something specific to ASIO? Re: Recording 78 rpm records

@Steve I think they are off. Perhaps worth double checking. The symptoms that you describe sounds very much like a "noise reduction" / "echo cancellation" effect that is frequently enabled by default by Windows. Also, some sound cards have their own "control panel" whi...

Re: How do I use "amplify" to increase the volume.

A home recording is not good evidence of noise pollution. It would certainly not stand up in court.

Here it is. There are some errors as you see in the image, not sure if

Instructions for "Recording Computer Playback on Windows" are here: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tut ... ndows.html

You can copy that link address into Google Translate to have the page translated into your primary language.

Re: Recording internal sound of computer

(Also I would very much appreciate any hints which may explain what I'm doing wrong in direct (audacityless) recording (2nd option: bottom part of the long message).) I would be very cautious about using ~/.asoundrc or modifying the sound system - it's too easy to mess up the sound system. There's ...

I can't locate "it". Here is a screenshot of my audacity.
If by "it" you mean "PulseAudio Volume Control", then it isn't part of Audacity. It's a mixer for PulseAudio (the standard Linux Sound system).
What happens when you run pavucontrol in a Terminal window?
