Re: Stereo Reverb

Steve, I have to disagree. Many reverb units have predelay or delay time offset settings. I This one doesn't. There is no "pre-delay" in this plug-in. The delay that you are seeing is the first part of the reverb impulse response. I can add a "delay" or "time shift" co...

Re: Distorted Recording

Re: Audacity freezes and stops responding when I edit record

Either way, for most users, defragmentation is not likely to be the issue that it was in XP and earlier. but as I understand it, being very short of space can be an issue because the drive needs to skip about all over the disk to find empty space to write the data (much slower than sequential write...

Re: Unwanted audio on home video

I can cut out bad audio but how do I paste in generic audio without moving other portions of sound track? Create a new audio track (either mono or stereo depending on the audio that you want to paste). You can do this from "Tracks menu > Add New > " If you import an audio file, either by ...

Topic moved to the "Maintaining / Improving this Forum" section as it's not really about Audacity. Near the top right corner of the page you should see a link to "User Control Panel". Drafts are saved in there. When you look at a list of your saved drafts there are links to "...

Re: Recording songs and having no bass

If you are using the Audacity "Vocal Remover" effect, use the "Remove frequency band" option with a lower frequency of at least 300 Hz. That will help to avoid losing the bass as a consequence of the effect. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/vocal_remover.html If you are not u...

Re: Stereo Reverb

Right now, there is about a 20 millisecond delay from the start of the dry signal to the start of the reverb Strictly speaking, there isn't, though I can see (and hear) why you say there is. I'll try to explain what is happening, and then we can look at what can be done. Reverb effects are basicall...
