Re: play transition end/start & accurate cut

1. i want to make a loop track, therefore i need to listen to the end/start transition several times, so to find the correct cut point. is there no way to play the transition from a random point (near end) without selecting a passage? Roughly how long will the loop be? 2. regarding the fade in and ...

Re: Cassette tape to laptop hardware?

I also have some four channel masters but nothing to play them on If you play "the other side" of the 4 track tapes, do you get 2 channels playing in reverse? If you do, then you could try the Audacity "Reverse" effect. You may find that the reversed tracks gradually drift out o...

Re: Cassette tape to laptop hardware?

I would guess that adjusting the slider left or right would be the thing to do on these recordings that are already mixed to stereo. Use 'mix & render' for unmixed tracks? If you have multi-track projects, you may want to adjust the pan position of individual tracks, for example if I have 3 tra...

Re: echoed sound after recording when listen to playback

The system requirements for Audacity are pretty low, much lower than your computer, but that is for using Audacity as a standalone application. If you are using along with Serato DJ software the requirements will be much higher, but we don't know what the system requirements will be because we don't...

Re: Unable to record because of a discontinuing sound.

I don't recall you saying that you had done a full boot-time scan, but it is good that you have done it ;) Unfortunately, while a virus scan can remove viruses, it will not repair any damage done to the system by the virus. In the absence of a restore point I think that you may need to reinstall the...

Re: Maximum Record Level For Vinyl

Then re-record those sections, knocking down the input until they play as just under peak, instead of clipping. If you click on the Audacity Recording meter it will start monitoring the input, so no need to actually record these little test, just enable the meter and watch the peak level. To reset ...

The files are to be used in a voice annoucement system based around a particular dsp and are required to be in 16bit 8kHz You can use the method that Gale described: File > Import Audio... , multiple-select the files, change the project rate bottom left to 8000 Hz, then File > Export Multiple . Re: Using VST plugins

Audacity 1 was obsolete years ago. The current version of Audacity is 2.0.2 which you can get here: http://audacityteam.org/download/ Blue Cat FreqAnalyst Pro is a "real time spectrum analyzer". Audacity does not support real-time effects, so even if you do get it to load, it won't work. A...
