Re: Clipping, hot input problem

The mic preamp that you ...

Re: Using a Chorus effect

There is a chorus effect plug-in available here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=68007 To install the plug-in, download the plug-in (MultiVoiceChorus.ny) and put it in the Audacity plug-ins folder (on Windows the Audacity installation folder is usually in "Program Files&q...

Re: Uses For Audacity

Can Audacity be used for signal processing Yes, but not "real-time" processing. The signal needs to be recorded or imported, then processed. Is there a plugin that permits Audacity to record streaming audio/signals ? No. Audacity records whatever the sound system sends to it. It is the jo...

Re: CLICKS AND POPS

even if i could, i use lots of layers, and so have literally 100's of clicks on some tracks You said previously that the clicks occurred when and where you made edits. Re: scratchy clicking noises SOMETIMES when recording

There are other tips that may help here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/FAQ:Recording_-_Troublesho...

Re: Problem looping with the "Repeat" effect

Only by carefully adjusting the length so that it is an exact number of beats.
Note that MP3 format is unsuitable for loops because the start and end positions of MP3s are imprecise (there is always a little bit of silence added to the start of an MP3).

Re: make volume of one track follow another

You have posted in the "legacy" section (for the now obsolete 1.3.x version of Audacity). I would recommend that you upgrade to the current 2.0.2 version which you can get here: http://audacityteam.org/download/ Audacity does not have a built-in effect for doing this, but there is a topic ...

Re: extension sometimes requested when exporting MP3

Hyphens, underscore, space, upper and lower case letters (a-z A-Z) and numbers (0 to 9) should all be "safe" characters in file names. The rules about other characters can be quite complicated on Windows (see here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa365247%28v=vs.85%...

Re: Only opens first file of saved project

You may be confusing "what is an Audacity Project" and "what is an audio file".
