Re: Sound Design
The Spl has to be same for each level. That is tricky before we consider anything else. There is no way to specify or set the SPL in an audio editor. The SPL depends not only on the signal but on the playback "system" (including the playback environment) and on how SPL is being measured. ...

Re: Audacity keeps adding silence at the beginning of my exp
The problem is not Audacity. The problem is the MP3 format specification. MP3 does not support exact start / end positions. There is always al little bit of leading silence at the start of the MP3. Wikipedia describes the issue (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP3#Design_limitations) "Encoder/deco...

For discussion or comments regarding the Pro Fade Out effect, please see here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 42&t=66654

Re: Professional sounding fade out.
he presets are too limited I think I'll include some presets in the final version. There are some types of fade that are likely to be used again and again, so it would make sense for those to be available as presets. I may also include one or two that demonstrate the capabilities of the plug-in. So...

Re: INSTANT AUDIO
Try this as a test.
Open Audacity.
"Generate menu > Tone" and generate a default 30 second tone.
Play.
Does that fade in or start playing straight away?
