Re: Auralise annotations in Audacity

Do you think it will be possible in future Audacity releases to read label tracks directly? I would very much like labels to be available to Nyquist plug-ins. Currently Nyquist plug-ins can create labels, but they cannot read existing label tracks. Unfortunately I don't expect that there will be ma...

Re: Audacity, OpenSUSE 12.2 and Lexicon Alpha

What are you recording? Do you have some sort of microphone plugged into the Lexicon Alpha?

Re: Where best to put plug-in data files?

Another question that arises is if the data files are read only or if there anything has to be stored (i.e. presets for example). Those files can't always be stored in the application folder. Should we use the folder instead where Audacity saves its config file and some presets? Or rather the User ...

Re: Intermittent Audio when Recording LP

I don't see anything obviously wrong.
Check which soundcard drivers you have and see what the most recent drivers are available for your sound card and operating system from the Creative web site http://support.creative.com/downloads/

Re: Nyquist Reference in a nut shell

If you are anticipating further changes in the near future I'd suggest that you just keep a copy of this for now and use it in the next version. If you're not planning any immediate changes, then I'd suggest that you "repackage" the ZIP file with this version and replace the previous ZIP f...

Re: Where best to put plug-in data files?

In the case of Robert's "Little Helper" plug-in, there are 2 data files (155kb and 368kB). These two files of pre-formatted data are far too big to comfortably maintain within the program file. It makes sense in this case to separate out the data from the program. With other plug-ins it c...

Re: Distortion When Multiple Audio Tracks Are Used

I figured it out. I had the "Overdub" option turned on. I'm guessing that you'll come back to us shortly saying that now you can't hear the first track while recording the next one. If that's the case, tell us how you are recording the guitar - are you using a microphone? Where is it plug...

Where best to put plug-in data files?

Topic split from http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=195545#p195545 I've split this topic as it is probably worth considering the broader question of where Nyquist plug-in data files should be installed. Below I've suggested where I think they would be best on Linux. What about Windows and...
