Re: Selecting Multiple Clips Simulateously

Is that a question? I'm not sure what you are trying to do.
There can only be one active selection at a time, but the selection may span multiple tracks or audio clips.
See here about selecting audio: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/au ... ction.html

Re: Audacity not responding when I open project

The project appears to be self contained (no dependencies) so you should be able to transport it.
The .AUP file and the _data folder must be in the same folder as each other.

Re: midi synch

Audacity is basically an audio program and has very little support for MIDI - not much more than just displaying the MIDI data. MIDI support is still at an early stage of development. This (one) page pretty well covers Audacity's MIDI functionality: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/note_tracks.h...

Re: Can't turn playthrough off when recording

You are listening to your voice going through the sound card and possibly the driver processing and then turning around and going through it all again so you can hear it. You are listening to "one computer late" in your headphones. That should not be a problem with his Zoom H4 as long as ...

Re: Audacity not responding when I open project

We can try to salvage it. Could you attach the project .AUP file to your reply. See here for how to attach files: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=64936 How did you exit Audacity? I presume that your project has been saved at some point? Make a backup copy of both the .AUP file...

Re: Audacity records at wrong clock rate

Thanks for your comments autark - you posted while I was typing, but it looks like you have come to pretty much the same conclusion as myself.

Hopefully Andrew4096 will be up and running shortly, and if so, the same method may be useful to yourself.

Re: Audacity records at wrong clock rate

OK, I can see the problem. You are recording a stream from YouTube? The audio data most likely has a sample rate of 44100 Hz. For some reason it appears that your sound card only supports 48 kHz. I don't know whether this is a hardware issue or a driver issue, but the device info shows for playback:...

Re: Only apply dither on export

To avoid too much complexity to the main thrust of the feature request, I have split this ancillary feature to a separate post: Additional note - Mix and Render: Although the feature request specifies "Export" as the case for applying dither, it would need to be decided what to do for Mix ...
