Re: Equalization and echo get modified during exportation !
when I listen to that new wav file for instance, the sound is completely different from what I could listen to in Audacity. My guess is that the media player that you are using to play the exported files is applying its own effects. Try importing the files back into a new Audacity project - do they...

Re: Unwanted muting of a stereo track. why?
Originally, 1. 24, now using the new version. The bug remains in the initial weird "muting" though, of the past tracks, not of new imported ones. That sounds like it may have been due to some weird Audacity 1.2.4 bug. I don't think that we can do anything about that now - 1.2.4 was obsole...

Re: DC offset tool
Well that would depend on just what we are trying to remove/correct for the user. Is that the constant or the non-constant variety? I'm no expert here :? Koz has frequently stated that "DC is not audio" and that the sound card has no right to pass anything below 20 Hz. The first statement...

Re: Finding Project Data Folder and aup file
The _data folder and the .AUP file must be in the same location. For example, if the project was saved as "mytest" then there will be a file called "mytest.aup" and a folder called "mytest_data". The file and the folder must be side by side in the same directory. The fo...

Re: DC offset tool
Ah, but I've just found a a use - I needed to add some DC with the "DC offset..." so that I could test the "DC bias removal..." :ugeek: 8-) :D and I've probably used it more for that same reason than any other. Re. the nomenclature: If you say "DC offset" to any of the...

Re: Edit > Labelled Regions
Here's a dance tune that I'm working on: tracks000.png It is made up of different sections, which are each labelled. I want to split the track according to the label positions so that I can rearrange some sections and substitute different sections in different places. Edit > Labelled Regions > Split...

Re: Distorted recording when using overdub
Sorry, I should have said, see this post : http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=192334#p192334 I know that the topic is different, but that specific post is probably relevant. If it still does not make sense or you don't see the relevance, please describe in detail what you have plugged int...

Re: How to change the software language from French to Engli
The newest version which I downloaded has a folder for languages. There is no "en". I click on the UK folder, and nothing happens. Audacity does not require a translation file for English because English is the native language. Translation files are only required for other languages. You ...
