Re: A simple plugin to add a label

But is there any way to get it to always add the labels to a particular label track? It keeps adding new ones. Only by selecting both the audio track and the label track. To do this, click on the audio track, then click on the "track control panel" (the box on the left) of the label track...

Re: Microphone noise /recording

I was refering to the Device Tool bar. Input channels is the only drop-down that has stereo listed. That's what I thought ;) That's not it. That sets whether recordings will be 1 channel (mono) or 2 channels (stereo). Input Device: Microphone or Microsoft Sound Mapper That is the correct section. &...

Re: A simple plugin to add a label

It won't work for an "analyze" type plug-in because with no selection there is nothing to "analyze". It won't work for an "process" type plug-in because with no selection there is nothing to "process". It will work with a "generate" type plug-in. (bt...

Re: convert monaural to sterio

but i dont see 'make sterio track' option Do you see the track drop down menu? What options do you see in it? ofc, i do want to make my guitar track sterio. Making it into a stereo track does not make it "stereo". "Stereo" is when there is different audio in the left channel (he...

Re: Installed 2.0.2 but hangs - CPU pegged at 99%

Thanks, that makes sense - it's getting a little further than I thought it was. It may be worth trying it with your "normal" (hardware) sound card rather than with TotalRecorder. Go into the Windows Sound Control Panel and set the default playback device and the default recording device to...

I'm asking about the Recording Input setting in the Device Toolbar not the "number of channels".
What exactly does it say is the selected recording input device? (Click on it to see the full name).

The cfg file currently looks like this: I don't understand how you have that .cfg file as you say: 1) " I've tried removing all mention of audacity in the registry, wiping out the Application Settings folder, modifying the cfg to this:..." 2) "When I run Audacity the welcome window i...

Re: Can you recommend websites good for Active Speaker revie

You are unlikely to get wireless connectivity on good monitor speakers. They have quite a lot of reviews here: http://homerecording.com Something like the Yamaha MSP5 In that price range you can't go far wrong - they're all pretty good and competition between manufacturers is fierce. There are of co...

Re: Adjustable Fade

The thing that I keep running up against is problems with how to implement presets. It has been said that we want presets and I agree that they can be very convenient, however the problem is that some presets will by their nature exclude some of the controls. Examples: 1) Linear Fade. By definition ...
