Re: No Waveform, No Sound
I see a series of diagonal blue lines, which makes editing much more difficult, if not near-impossible to get right. The diagonal lines are normal when importing uncompressed audio with "read the files directly from the original" selected, but after a few moments those lines should start ...

Re: Musical Fade-In effect
Strangely enough, Crossfade-In and Crossfade-Out use two different approaches to get the exact same curves with a exponent of 0.5 "Cross Fade In" was updated after release (by myself) to fix a bug. The original version was like "Cross Fade Out", but on a fade-in that gives a 1 s...

Re: Running a plug-in once only
I've split this topic because it raises an interesting point, but unrelated to the original topic. Consider running this code from the Nyquist Prompt or as an effect plug-in on multiple tracks: (setq test (peak s ny:all)) (if (> test 0) (format nil "sound") (format t "silence")) ...

Re: Can't turn playthrough off when recording
OK, so we know that it's not Audacity causing the problem.
Go into the Windows Sound Control Panel and turn off "Listen to this device".

Re: Need help recording Windows Sound
If Audacity is recording what appears to be a flat line, try using the Amplify effect (default settings). If that enables you to hear what you have recorded (albeit that there will probably be a lot of noise and bad sound quality) then you need to adjust the levels in Windows. The recording level fr...

Re: 2 instances of audacity simultaniously
I'm not quite sure what you are saying.
After a reboot, when do you get an error message that audacity is already running, and what exactly does the error message say?
