Re: Deleting Clipped Audio

I've attached a small mp3 portion of the audio to this post for steve and others who've requested it. You're going to have trouble with that. The problem is that it has been recorded with bad electronics that have allowed clipped audio to "overflow" between positive and negative numbers. ...

Re: Deleting Clipped Audio

That's interesting - that wasn't there in the first log that you posted.

Re: Amplify

If the audio is being clipped during recording, then amplifying/attenuating the signal after recording will not repair the clipping, it will just mean that it is clipped at a lower level. To avoid the clipping you need to find a way of making the original recording at a lower level. How/what are you...

Re: Labelling Tracks.

Don't worry about the Artist name and stuff just yet. If you can't find the file that you export then it does not matter if it has the artist name or not. Let's do one thing at a time. First off, you need to be able to export a playable WAV file and find it after it has been exported.

Try setting the recording input in the Device Toolbar to:
HDA ATI SB: ALC271X Analog (hw:1,0)

Re: Custom Keyboard Shortcut Not Saving

Bug 594 is already marked as platform independent (not just one operating system) and it is marked "P2" (the second highest priority) so it has to be fixed before the next Audacity release.
