Re: help me in my C# project
I've moved this post to the General Audio Programming section as it is clearly not about using Audacity on Windows.
In fact it appears to have nothing to do with audio
I'm wondering why you posted on the Audacity forum

Re: New Fade Effects (poll)
We do have to be careful about removing Cross Fade In and Out, not because they are very useful for cross fading but because they are a long established feature that for all we know people may be using and liking. Please listen to these two samples. Would you say that the fade out of one is noticea...

Re: Deleting Clipped Audio
@Steve, your improved ClipFix that deals with inverted polarity would be interesting to see sometime. There is an experimental version available on my website: http://audionyq.com/?p=226 Note that this is "experimental". It may contain bugs and may crash Audacity. On anything more than a ...

Re: Adjustable Fade
I remain disappointed (as originally stated) I presume that you are referring to: Obviously there is a major loss here compared to the 14 "presets" we were considering (i.e. not really "presets" but fade type choices). This isn't any more than an off-the cuff comparison - a conc...

If you are recording, the default sample rate and sample format are in preferences:

Re: Audacity Very Slow To Startup
I'm on Debian Squeeze 32 bit, 3 GB RAM 2 GHz Intel Core 2. Launching Audacity takes about 3 seconds, so yes 30 to 40 seconds does seem to be very slow. but it failed with cmake error command not found(something like that)?? The resampling library used by Audacity is currently being changed to libsox...

I presume that is not a typo.thomas.lynch wrote:Audacity 2.0.2 downloaded today
Apparently the Ubuntu 12.10 release version of Audacity is 2.0.0-1, so where is your 2.0.2 version from?

Re: Audacity 2.0.2 Crashes after about a minute, every time.
p.s. .. there was also 'pulse' option for drivers .. that crashed too The "Pulse" option is the same as "default". Selecting "HDA ATI SB: ALC271X Analog (hw:1,0)" bypasses Pulse and accesses the ALSA drivers directly. I thought that it may have been a PulseAudio proble...
