Re: Adjustable Fade

If this plug-in goes ahead then I will write "usage notes" to help new users. However, I think that with just a few minutes experimenting with the effect it is, in its current form (version 30b) simple enough for most users to discover for themselves how to use the plug-in effectively. Th...

Re: New Fade Effects (poll)

And given how hard it also is to get released stuff improved and re-released, we should try to get this as good as possible IMO. Re: Audacity Very Slow To Startup

Thanks for all of your feedback and test results. I suspect that the slowness is due to the version of ALSA used in recent versions of Ubuntu clashing with one of the libraries that is used in Audacity, and that you are able to resolve the problem by installing using more recent versions of the libr...

Re: Which Windows SDK?

of course, I managed to recompile Auadacity with Asio support. It was not really as easy as claimed, indeed. It is perfectly clear that the source code released on Sorceforge cannot include the proprietary code included in the Steinberg SDK. This is the same for the other programs which I cited. I ...

Re: New Fade Effects (poll)

Because you have repeatedly said that multiple envelope points would overcomplicate Adjustable Fade. To add multiple envelope points in addition to the current features would (obviously) make the effect more complex. However, do we really need all of the features of an "Adjustable Fade" i...

Re: How do I install modules in audacity?

Regarding the Aurora web site I will investigate that strange behavior. I've had a quick look at the page source and you appear to have the entire page content wrapped in an "advert" div tag: <div id="advert"> ... content </div> so anyone that has adverts disabled (such as mysel...

Re: Get rid of fit in window view?

Click on the bottom edge of a track and drag it down to make the track taller. Tip: When working with a lot of tracks it is often easier to use "collapse all tracks" (View menu) rather than "fit vertically", then you can click on the button at the bottom of the track information ...

My apologies, I was typing in a hurry. I was testing on Audacity 2.0.0.
I have now corrected my previous post.
