Most web browsers do not display TIFF images, so I've converted it to a .PNG image. ScreenShot.png That looks like a continuous sound with no gaps (silences) or beats to hide the "join", which makes it tricky to apply effects that change the waveform without creating clicks. What you will ...

The current tools are aimed at detecting boundaries between sound and no sound, with the only fine tuning being what level is considered to be silence. I assume it's mainly designed for marking gaps between songs. I believe that the original reason for this effect and its main use is to mark tracks...

If the selections seem to "snap" to the wrong place, ensure that "Snap To" is not selected (not enabled) in the Selection Toolbar:

"Stereo Mix" will record what is playing through your computer sound card, not what is playing through your USB headset - they are different "audio devices". Probably the easiest way to approach this would be to get hold of some conventional (not USB) headphone (really cheap ones...

So basically you mean that you want to record sounds that are playing on your computer.
Have you tried "Sound Leech" (Milo software).
It's a bit quirky but it is currently free and I've had a lot of success with it.
