Re: Alternative way of "sliding time scale / pitch shift..."

Polarus wrote:I mean same method like in "change speed..." so you can speed up changing both tempo and pitch without artifacts and make it variable.
In that case you need the "Sliding Time Scale / Pitch Shift..."

Resampling changes both pitch and tempo.

Re: Notiching music for Tinnitus with xp

Do you suggest leaving the octive at 1. Anything else I should know? I'm not a doctor and I'm not qualified to say if notch filtering is beneficial for Tinnitus sufferers, though there have been some encouraging reports on the forum. I'd suggest that you try leaving at one octave initially and see ...

Re: finding and marking small gaps

Fortunately there is already a more precise version of Silence Finder on this forum. I'll have a look for it. If I can't find it then it's an easy modification to make Silence Finder more accurate. The version that I was thinking of is rather more complex than you need, so here is a modified versio...

(I think Steve may be turning his attention back to this once he gets his head out of his current Fader project). Yes he will :P Fortunately there is already a more precise version of Silence Finder on this forum. I'll have a look for it. If I can't find it then it's an easy modification to make Si...

Re: Alternative way of "sliding time scale / pitch shift..."

See "Time Tracks" http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/time_tracks.html Currently this works OK for small changes in speed, but becomes quite jumpy for larger changes. This feature has been considerably improved in the development build and the improved version should be available in Audac...

Re: Adding DC Offset to Audio File

You are urged strongly not to connect blue waves like that to a sound system. Even though speakers won't actually do it, they will try when you connect the system or turn on the music. You may blow the speakers across the floor. But just once. At low volume for a short period of time it is unlikely...

Re: Adding background noise oder background muisc

Topic moved to the new plug-ins section. A first try of a plugin is attached. Well done, that seems to work fine. :P One little comment, the "Audio Level" setting is possibly misleading as it is actually a "mix" control rather than a "level" control. Also, for anyone th...

Re: Adding DC Offset to Audio File

There is a detailed description of DC offset on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DC_bias and a simpler explanation on the Audacity wiki: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Amplify_and_Normalize#Using_Normalize_with_DC_offset_correction For artistic purposes Note that audio amplifier...

Re: Adjustable Fade

Re. comments from Robert J. H. Fade In/Out do not have to be symmetric for an equal power fade (though they usually are in practice). The Fade Out and Fade in do not have to be the same "shape" (though again they usually are in practice). The defining feature is that from t=0 to t=d, where...
