Re: Special Characters in Manual ?
I think I've now fixed the remaining ones. They are tricky to spot before publication because they look very much like normal "quotes" in the alpha manual and the problem only appears when converted to normal html. I'd suggest that we assume they are now all fixed for the next release vers...

Re: AUDIO HELP
I have had no trouble saving these clips as MP3 audio files If you are making these clips yourself, make them as WAV files rather than MP3. MP3 encoding always reduces the sound quality to some extent and the sound quality loss is compounded each time the audio is encoded. Using WAV ensures that yo...

Re: Zoom vs. Audacity
Let me make sure I understand: Even tho, in Windows, I have specified that Exclusive use of the device is not allowed, Zoom is defeating that? That's exactly what I think I've been experiencing. I don't understand exactly what or how Zoom do what they do, but it certainly looks like they are able t...

Re: Starting Audacity stops other sound playing

Re: Exported 16 channel wav not working
to be honest i just thought audacity would update by itself lmao It's possible that future versions of Audacity may do that, but none of the Audacity development / support team are keen on apps that "phone home". Linux has a very secure and efficient way to handle automatic updates, but o...

Re: Stereo recording where channels are mis-aligned - how to fix?
Are you able to find the exact point in the file where it goes wrong? If so, select about 3 seconds before and after that point (about 6 seconds total), then "File menu > Export > Export Selected Audio" and export those 6 seconds as a WAV file. Attach the exported WAV file to your reply (S...

If your life depends on it, try the Repair effect.
If it's less important than that, then it's probably not worth the effort, though you could try this "Declicker": viewtopic.php?p=245549#p245549
