Re: Recover Files _data
Did you copy the project (.AUP and _data folder) to the hard drive of the new machine and then try and open it, or did you try to open it directly from the USB pendrive? Aup could not open. Why not? What happened? Was there an error message? Once he got open How did it do that? What did you do to op...

Re: Podcast equipment
Hint: Whatever room you're considering recording your podcast in isn't going to work. Bedrooms with lots of soft furnishings to soak up the echoes are good. A good mic is a good investment, but note that typical "condenser" microphones require a pre-amp (or mixing desk) that has "pha...

Input Gain (dB): <--|-->
Limit to (dB): <--|-->

Re: Peak Limiter
Amplify will result in clipping at 0 dB. Can you explain that? That makes it sound like our documentation is incorrect. 32 bit float format: If you amplify a signal to a peak level of +3dB, then the sound card should handle everything below 0 dB well (no noticeable distortion). The sound card is in...

Re: Recording voicemails from iphone 5 to pc
Check that the recording enhancements are turned off in Windows: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/FAQ: ... hancements
Note that built-in sound cards in PCs often have poor recording quality (which is why USB sound cards are so popular).

The only way to tell for sure is to listen to them.
You may be able to get an idea of the loudness by scanning the files with ReplayGain, which you could do using Foobar2000 http://www.foobar2000.org/

Re: odd affect, how to do stereo pan?
There appears to be a bug in it.
I'll have a look, hopefully it will be something simple.
