Not that I know of.justinrpg wrote:do you have one for tape deck?
You could also try the "Sliding Time Scale / Pitch Shift" effect: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/sl ... shift.html

Re: A proper "Limiter" effect
Should Limiters-cum-WaveShapers have any useful parameters not needed in a "simple" limiter, such as an Exciter, that makes it better to give them their own plug-in? A fairly "full featured" hardware limiter would probably have: Input gain lookahead hold release output gain Thou...

Re: Peak Limiter
The "0 dB limit" is a bit like "midnight". On of those things that fascinated me as a child was the idea that a clock stopped at midnight will tell exactly the correct time twice a day, but a working clock may never be exactly right. Strictly speaking, positive peaks in 16 bit in...

Re: problem with headphone volume whilst recording?
behringer ddm 4000 mixer plugged into behhringer uca 222 interface via the tape output It seems that what you are cueing up is being routed through to the tape out. You will either need to switch it so that it does not do that, or connect a different output from the mixer to the UCA 222. The Behrin...

Re: Only right channel is recording
My guess is that you are recoding something that is plugged into a mono microphone socket.
If that is the case, set Audacity to record "1 channel (mono)" and the sound will come out of both speakers.

Re: Recommended file type for CD
The best format for an audio CD is 16 bit 44100 Hz sample rate PCM WAV format (as you have been using). Standard audio CDs always use 16 bit 44100 Hz sample rate PCM (stereo), so if you attempt to use some other format for creating a standard audio CD, it will need to be converted by the CD burning ...

Re: Misbehaves when one track has no clip in select range
Thanks Dick, I can reproduce the problem when using Repair. I've submitted a bug report. I note that when an empty (no clip) region of a track is included in the selection, effects generally add a silent clip there. I think that it is only plug-ins that do this. I don't think there's an easy way rou...

Re: How to make volume increase for end of videos?
The Envelope tool: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/envelope_tool.html is the official tool for the job. There's a new "Adjustable Fade" plug-in on the way which can fade up as well as down. If you find the Envelope Tool too fiddly please say so and I can send you a link to the pre-rel...
