Re: Adjustable Fade
The final version of this plug-in is currently being discussed by the Audacity developers with regard to the possibility of including it as part of the standard Audacity package. Inclusion in Audacity may require some minor changes, but that is yet to be decided so the final form is as yet unknown. ...

dietermoreno : Thanks for the feedback. Glad you like it. (on a 16-bit track) ... <snip> ... The value changes randomly between -1.0000... and -0.999969482421875 For the positive case, the value is always 0.999969482421875 Any idea what's behind this? As you surmised, this is due to dither. I don't...

Re: System sound crashes on Audacity start
- Booted Live KDE CD (openSUSE 12.2) and installed Audacity (to rule out system settings and overall install) => still NG. Have you tried any other live CD distribution (for example "Knoppix" or "Mint")? If the sound system works with those but Audacity still shows the same prob...

Re: Frequency limits for labels
+1 for marking frequencies on the spectrum view as a first step.

Re: Beginner's question
is it possible (by adding notes in the script) to transform a script into a script which could appear in the menu "Generate" of Audacity 2? To make a plug-in appear in the Generate menu you need to add the appropriate header code: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Plug-ins_Referen...

Re: Crash after Nyquist input
Ah ha, I see what I did wrong  - I didn't copy and paste, but manually typed the "correct" code (without the negative time reference) :D You have provided the function with a negative signal duration Exactly. Should the C++ routine return an error in such cases or simply take the abs...

Re: freeze and crash with 'Panning (Random)' plug-in
The only thing that prevented me up till now were the qualms to fiddle with David's legacy code. If I'm bug fixing a plug-in I like to try and keep the code as close to the original as possible, though I may add indentation to improve readability and remove excess white space (David was blind, so h...

Re: freeze and crash with 'Panning (Random)' plug-in
I'll take a look, what can be done to increase the sound length to a tolerable amount. Thanks Robert. If you have time perhaps you could also take a look at the other "pan" plug-ins by David R Sky. Could they perhaps be combined into one plug-in rather than three separate ones without mak...
