Re: Audacity recording in my PC no reproduce in others PC
The current version of Audacity is 2.0.2 http://audacityteam.org/download/ This is the version that you should be using. I'm not sure if I understand your question. Are you saying that when you create an audio CD, it does not play on other computers, or are you saying that when you export an MP3, it...

Re: me again- Losing sound qaulity when exporting to MP3
The steps that I gave will give the highest level possible for the current mix without clipping (distorting) because the "Amplify" step brings the level of the mix up to a peak level of 0 dB (and attempting to go higher than 0 dB causes distortion. To get "louder" than that, you ...

Re: Pattern based sound editing
Well I finally managed to get TAPESTREA to run. Indeed it is interesting, though still in the early stages of development and I think that I need a faster computer to run it properly :) The sine wave separation can give some pretty strange effects - quite realistic synthesis on things like bird song...

Re: Pattern based sound editing
TAPESTREA looks very interesting. Unfortunately I've not been able to get it to run on my computer, but from the demo I'm not quite sure how or why you would want to shoehorn this into Audacity. I'm not saying that it's a bad idea, just that TAPESTREA appears to be a large and complex application in...

Re: Use audio track as a sample for other audio tracks
The problem is that you need to know exactly what it is that makes transcribing easier for Google. If it is just a simple matter of frequency range, then I would have expected that the Google software would already be applying filters as necessary for the best transcription results. Similarly, if th...

Re: me again- Losing sound qaulity when exporting to MP3
Before exporting, save the project, then: Ctrl+A (select All) Tracks menu > Mix and Render Effect menu > Amplify File menu > Export. If the result is still not loud enough, use a compressor and/or a limiter on the one-track mix down and export a new (louder) version. If you want to return your proje...

Re: Deploy Audacity 2.0.2 in Different Language
If you want the same preferences for all users on a system, the simplest way is to use a "Portable Settings" folder: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Portable_Audacity

Re: Recording not working
To find your previous posts, there is a link near the top of each page "View your posts". The error message ""Error while opening the input device..." is Audacity telling you that it is unable to access the recording or playback device (sound card). This is usually because t...

Re: Equalization and linear frequency shifting
You could try splitting the audio into two bands with high-pass & low-pass filters. Then pitch-sift down the high frequencies and re-mix the hign & low band files. That approach does work, but it's a lot more complicated than using the Equalizer, which is why I suggested trying the Equaliza...

Re: How to save a mp3 in a lower quality
I mean WMA is a proprietary Playback format. If you point a Mac at a WMA file, it will just look at you. Koz Unless you install the Windows Media® Components for QuickTime http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=9442 The case is the same for pure open source distributions of Linux. ...
