Try running ALSA Mixer
In a terminal window enter: Switch to the Pro-Ject USB device and check the input level there.

The 1.3.x series of Audacity is now discontinued, The current version of Audacity is 2,0.2 http://audacityteam.org/download/

The MIDI features in Antares Autotune are not supported in any version of Audacity.

Those big spikes at just after 1 minute and around 1:30 are close to 0 dB and so prevent the Amplify effect from making the track louder without clipping those spikes. What you could do is to use a "limiter" to limit those spikes to say -6 dB, which would then allow the track to be amplifi...
