The usual cause of this problem is that Audacity is being run directly from the DMG file. There are 2 steps to installing on Mac: Double-click the downloaded .dmg to mount it Then to install Audacity, copy the "Audacity" folder from the newly mounted .dmg to /Applications or any other loca...
