Re: Can't hear my MP3 files

Re: Recording - No Devices Found

Those are the (only) devices that are available for Audacity to use.
For alternative ways to record sound that is playing on your computer (streaming audio), see the notes here: Windows Sound Control Panel.

Re: Please provide us a build of Audacity without MP3

Re: fragmentation

When you say "fragmented", what exactly do you mean? Do you mean that there are lots of small files?
Please describe step-by-step what you are doing and we may be able to see where you are going wrong.

What do you have set as the recording input device in the Device Toolbar?
What other options are there?

Re: Audacity+Lame blocking Win7 ctrl-S

Perhaps it was something completely different and the apparent association with installing Audacity was just a strange coincidence? Out of the millions of Audacity users on Windows 7 I've not hear of this problem before :?

Yes.
lindsmith88 wrote:the other options are "Microsoft sound mapper," "External mic," and "Stereo mix."
You probably need to set it to "External mic".

Re: generate rissert drum

Probably nothing. The Risset Drum generator produces one "boing" sound. If you wish to repeat the sound many times, generate one "boing" then, while the sound is selected, "Effect menu > Repeat..." (about 2/3rds of the way down the list), and enter the number of times y...
