Re: Adding VST Plug-Ins
.dll files (such as FreeverbToo.dll) are for Windows only. VST-Bridge.so should not be used with Audacity 2.x. That was for old versions of Audacity only. Reverb cannot be removed once it is present. You need to take steps to reduce the amount of reverb in the original recording, such as recording i...

We can't see your computer. We can't see what you are doing.
"Not working" tells us next to nothing.
We can't help you if you don't tell us what you are doing, what is happening and what is not happening,

Mac is a foreign language to me, but I'd have thought that you'd be OK on Mac as they use Core-audio or some such don't they?
Do ensure that the device is connected to the computer and recognised by the computer before you open Audacity.

Re: is Reloop PLAY soundcard incompatible?
Do you have Windows drivers installed for the Reloop Play sound card, or only ASIO drivers? Audacity cannot be shipped with ASIO support due to licensing restrictions, so if you only have ASIO drivers installed it won't work with Audacity. If you're a computer geek, you could build Audacity with ASI...

Re: first time set up
Check in the Windows Sound Control Panel that the recording volume for the mic is turned up. If there is a "boost" option, you may also need to enable that. "Enhancements" should be turned off (See: Why do my recordings fade out or sound as if they were made in a tunnel?)

What sort of mic? How is it connected to the computer? Which version of Audacity? Which version of Windows? What settings do you have in the Device Toolbar? Did you connect the mic before opening Audacity?
