Re: Splicing
I copied that first verse and pasted it three times to the end of the preceding verse. That gave me a four verse backgroung instrumental with an intro. However, when played back there were obvious breaks in the flow of the music at the beginning of each verse which I call dead spots. It sounds like...

Re: Making Audacity the "open with" default under WIN-8
When you search for audacity to use as the default program to open a sound file.... you need to open the "Programs (x86)" folder as it is not in the "Programs" folder Yes that is correct if you are using a 64 bit operating system because Audacity is a 32 bit application and 32 b...

Re: Splicing
I don't understand why you are getting these "dead spots" or I don't understand what you mean by "dead spots".
Please describe step by step what you are doing.

Re: Splicing
You will need to edit the recording after the recording is complete.
Select the part that you want to delete and press the Del key.

Re: Not Enough Disc Space
Insert the blank CDR before you create the song list.
If you are using WMP for burning the CDs you may want to consider using a better CD burning application such as CDBurnerXP.

Re: Can't record in mono
You may have had it set up correctly without realising it. When recording mono, only the upper (left) recording meter should be active.

Re: sometimes when i click a track
You have posted in the Audacity 1.3.x section. It is highly recommended that you upgrade to the current version so as to avoid bugs which are now fixed. http://audacityteam.org/download/ If you left click on the vertical ruler on the left side of the audio track, it will zoom in vertically. Right cl...

Re: While recording cannot hear the sound of the source
For information. what I think was happening was that the options "default" and "pulse" used PulseAudio to connect to the sound card. It sounds like PulseAudio was stalling when Audacity tried to connect to both the input and output or PulseAudio at the same time. The (hw:0,0) opt...
