Re: A Study in Pink
How is the quality? Do you have an idea how to test the result? Seems pretty good. One measure is the spectrum, which can be measured with "Plot Spectrum". It should also sound smooth and even. It's quite interesting that if you clip pink noise, even quite severely, there is little change...

Re: Not Enough Disc Space
What exactly are you trying to do? If you want to make a standard audio CD you can't do it by just copying files to the disk, you need to use "CD burning" software. I recommend CDBurnerXP.
If you are trying to do something different, please explain what exactly you are trying to do.

Re: Yep, no aup.file
Ouch, not good.
Crash recovery without the AUP file is not particularly easy and may not be successful, but there's some information about how to approach the task here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Crash_Recovery

Re: new Audacity scans with every run
now I don't - and even using the "Browse..." option to select a different program won't let me select Audacity in any way that's useful. Any idea what's up with that? Yes, it's a bug/limitation in Windows. Setting up a file association writes information into the Windows Registry, but it ...

Re: A Study in Pink
What I meant was that it does not use any of the Nyquist filter functions. I thought that it should be possible to rewrite in terms of biquad filters, but I was unsure how to do that. Your code makes that transposition nicely, and yes it's a lot faster. So long as very long tracks are not required, ...

Re: .aud file distortion
First off, bundled copies of Audacity are often out of date old versions. You can check the version number in "Help menu > About Audacity". The current version is 2.0.2. If you have a different version, you can get the current version from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/ Usually th...

Re: Submit your EQ Curves
This topic was started so that Audacity users could share their Eq curves with other Audacity users. Sadly the take-up of this opportunity has been disappointing and very few working Eq curves have been submitted. This topic is still open, so you are very welcome to submit any Eq curves that you com...

Re: Does Audacity log effects?
Unfortunately, no. While the project is open Audacity retains a "history" of just about everything that you do ("View menu > History") and allows you to "wind back" ("Undo") to any previous state. However, the Undo history can use a huge amount of disk space, ...
