Re: Trying to find how quickly a series of sounds plays

The tracks are at a ridiculously high sample rate. I'd recommend that you resample the tracks (Tracks menu) to 44100 Hz sample rate before any further processing.

Re: Trying to find how quickly a series of sounds plays

Have a look on the Spectrogram view to see if you can identify the individual beeps http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tr ... pectrogram

Re: Audacity-enabled Edit Protection

All music can be pirated no matter how well it is protected. The only way to guarantee that it is not illegally copied or edited is to lock it in a safe and bury it under several feet of concrete. There's some information here about adding copy protection to WMA format files: http://www.microsoft.co...

Re: Attenuating FLAC file

Audacity opens FLAC files exactly as they are. The audio is not "scaled" or "processed" in any way. If the imported audio is clipped then that is because it is clipped in the FLAC file - not much you can do about that. If it is only clipped a little in a few places you can try Cl...

Re: PPA (for Audacity 2.0.3) is out of date

Things have changed a bit over the years. My recommendation now would be to build Audacity from the release version tarballs. These are currently on a roughly quarterly cycle. New releases are announced in various places including here on the forum and the main Audacity web site. You can also be not...
