That's the secret hidden function. Press Ctrl+L (Command+L)

No. See the note "Filter frequency range:" in my previous post.

Re: finding tempo after importing wav file

If the music has a constant tempo, zoom in on a beat and add a label at the exact start of the beat. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/label_tracks.html Count a number of beats further on (for accuracy, the more the better) and place another label precisely at the start of that beat. Set the time...

Re: Expanded Preferences For SoX Resampling

This would enable tasks like re-tuning samples to a certain pitch to be done easily and at highest quality, just move the pitch up and down using the time track and then render. Sorted! Use the "Change Speed" effect. This uses the constant rate resampling, so it will use your setting in P...

Re: MP3 versus .mp3

If you use "Save" in the Audacity File menu it will save an Audacity Project. This is not an MP3 and is not any sort of audio file.
More information about the Audacity Project format here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/au ... jects.html

Re: Removing thumps and bumps

I found that I should first Normalize the track to eliminate DC offset only. Absolutely. You should do this before any processing or editing. I had to undo, reselect, with slightly different selection points, and apply the filter again, because the filter sometimes didn't match the waveforms at the...

Re: USB mics don't work right for me

That is very strange. It's not "normal" distortion - there is some sort of data corruption and it is happening in pairs. The two "blips" of each pair are exactly 464 samples apart. tracks003.png I would guess that this has to be a USB problem. Did you say that you have used this ...

Re: Removing thumps and bumps

Could you post a short sample in WAV format.
Select about 4 or 5 seconds that includes a thump, then "File > Export Selection".
Attach the file using "Upload attachment" below the message compose box.

Re: Click Removal

I don't think that reversing the audio is actually necessary as there are probably not many (if any) false detections. Do ensure that the track is 32 bit float format before using Click Removal (or any other processing). You can check to find exactly what is removed by Click Removal using the follow...
