Re: Audacity and Windows Task Scheduler

Have I got this right? 1. You are launching Audacity from the Windows Task Scheduler 2. Then you run a Python command from the Windows Task Scheduler to send a command to Audacity via mod-script-pipe to start recording? 3. Sometimes this works but sometimes it fails. What are the exact commands? How...

if I paste it to the URL in Chromium, the online help opens fine. What’s wrong here?
What happens if you right click on the file and select:
"Open with... > Chromium"

it stutters at the end instead of making a smooth transition.
Zoom out far enough so that Audacity does not need to scroll while playing the loop. Does it still stutter?

I have made some attempts to record my music (I do it with Kawai ES110) and I completely don't like the recorded sound
How are you doing that? How is the keyboard connected to the computer?
The ES110 does not have speakers, so how do you hear it?

Re: how to contribute / German documentation

These pages definitely need a reworK and should be moved to the wiki: Those pages are from an independent (unofficial) Audacity forum. We have no control over the content of audacity-forum . de We link to that forum because it has been a very active and well supported German language forum for Auda...

Re: Limiter issue? Recorded files being capped?

was there a solution? I am experiencing same issue. Clipping can occur anywhere within the signal chain. For example, some 12" singles are recorded so loud that they can overload normal consumer record players. Once the audio is clipped, the clipped signal will continue through to the analog/d...

A frequency spectrum from a Fourier transform would be a good start.

Re: Record four tracks at once

Know of an interface still in production that can do it? On Linux (I use Linux), these are said to work, though I don't own any of them, so I'm not able to test on Mac (or any other platform). Behringer UMC1820 M-Audio M-Track Eight Presonus 1818VSL (No low latency monitoring under Linux) Behringer...

As a developer I wonder which interface Audacity tries to use.
Either MME, DirectSound (emulated on Win 10) or WASAPI. Select your preferred API via the "host" setting in the Device Toolbar.
