Re: tips for a newbie recording a live band via USB mic
Microphone placement is the main thing that I'd concentrate on. In the "08" track the drums sound quite distant. I understand that it's difficult to get a good mix with one mic in a rehearsal situation ;) Also, in the same recording the keyboard is sounding quite harsh/piercing which I thi...

Re: problems with registering
i have a problem with the registering I presume that you mean "monitoring"? Listening to what you are recording while you are recording? Not all hardware is able to do that. What sort of headphones and microphone are you using? How are they connected to your computer? You need to turn off...

Re: putting multiple au files into one mp3
When a project is saved, the AUP file is not saved in the _data folder. The .AUP file and the _data folder are saved in the same folder as each other, so for example, if you save an Audacity project in "My Document" and name the project "test", then in "My Documents" th...

Could you generate one tone, copy it, then just go to the place that you want the next tone and Ctrl+V to paste?
Do you have a list of times for these tones? If so, what format is that list in? Where did that list come from?

Re: Applying Amplify effect results in no audio
Audacity projects can be moved from one computer to another, but you need to be a bit careful how you do it. If you don't do it right the project will be broken (as you discovered). The manual describes how to successfully move a project: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/audacity_projects.html#m...

Re: Behringer UFO202 vs ART USB Phono Plus
The ART unit is in a sturdy metal case, which makes it the more rugged of the two and also offers shielding against electrical interference. The Behringer unit is in a plastic box - don't tread on it. The ART USB Phono Plus v2 offers a lot more features and connections than the Behringer UFO202, but...
