Re: MP3 Patents & Lame Install for Portable Audacity?

Re: Restoring Muffled Voice?

The Audacity Noise Removal effect often gets criticised because it's not very good at doing miracles ;) What the Audacity Noise Removal is pretty good at, is reducing quiet, constant, background noise, such as gentle hiss or hums. Re: Decay rate or reverberation time

Congratulations from me too :) You need to be careful using linear-to-db with sounds because dB is a log and the logarithm of numbers <= 0 is not defined, so if the selection being analysed contains absolute silence you will get a "NAN" error (Not A Number). You can protect against that wi...

Re: Problem using cut

Try this (logged in with your daughter's account):

1) Open Audacity
2) "File menu > Save As" and save the project anywhere convenient within her home folder.
3) Record something.
4) Try editing it.

Do you still get the problem?

Re: Behringer UFO202 vs ART USB Phono Plus

The current "Project Series" USB Phono Plus provides monitoring of the phono input, or the computer output or both via the headphone socket (switchable from the from panel with a separate monitor level control). The RCA outputs are direct from the phono input which allows the unit to be us...
