Re: batch processing - adding an introduction

The situation has not changed much. There is a plug-in called "Append Import" that may help. Please read the notes in this topic about usage and limitations: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=151858#p151858 Unfortunately this cannot be used in a Chain (batch processing) but if ...

Re: Adding beats and measures to existing mp3?

It's quite difficult for a computer to accurately detect beats unless the beats are very strong. In the Analyze menu is "Beat Finder" that attempts to label the beats http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/beat_finder.html If the music has strong beats this might work.

Re: Is there a way to reduce peaks other than manually?

It would be called "BrickWall" or "BrickWall Limiter" or something similar, right? It will be called "Brick Wall Limiter..." If Audacity is installed correctly there are a few other Nyquist plug-ins installed by default. Nyquist plug-ins will only appear in the menus i...

Re: How do get an out-of-tune effect on Audacity?

Have you tried the "Sliding Time Scale / Pitch Shift" effect? http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/sl ... shift.html
Alternatively, perhaps you can find an example on-line somewhere and edit that into your recording?

Re: Mac OS X 10.8.2 Problem loading Audacity

Since you guys have zero support for this Please be patient. You only posted your question an hour ago. This forum is a community support forum - Audacity is free software created and supported by volunteers. You'll need to wait for someone that knows about Macs to come along and help as I don't us...

Re: Audacity won't launch on MacOsx 10.8.2

I am having this same problem... Looking at your other post it seems that you are not having "this same problem". xeno is reporting that Audacity does not launch, which I assume means that it does not launch at all, whereas your other post indicates that Audacity is launching, but not pro...

That would be my guess.

Re: Newbie question - Ambisonic .amb file & channel ID

I noticed on this page: http://people.bath.ac.uk/masrwd/bformat.html that it says that AMB files are supported by Erik de Castro Lopo's libsndfile library. This is the library that is used by default by Audacity for import/export.

Re: Newbie question - Ambisonic .amb file & channel ID

I don't have a definitive answer, but after a bit of searching it looks like Audacity maps WXYZ straight in so that W is at the top and Z is at the bottom. Could you make a test disk with each possible permutation and see which sounds right? The best place to ask would be on the members e-mail list ...
