Re: Alternate, equal-length "Paste" command ("Patch?")
I have no opinion about the cross-fade, I'm not using it. Is that meant to blend effects beyond the boundary of the selection? For your "user case" the crossfade feature is probably irrelevant. With low level room ambiance (noise) cross-fading is probably not required (and may sound worse...

Re: Alternate, equal-length "Paste" command ("Patch?")
So it sounds like *scratch* might be contaminated if I use other effects in between two uses of this one? the worst that could happen is that "clipboard" (values stored in *scratch*) could get erased or overwritten by another Nyquist plug-in, but that would only happen if the other plug-i...

Re: Stereo Recording - 1st track gets recorded in 2nd track
Yes, when i record, one mic appears in the left channel and the other one in the right channel... In that case, yes it is stereo :) Thanks for clarifying. I don't think you've said which version of Windows you are on, and there are differences, but if you look in the Windows Sound Control Panel the...

Re: Overlapping in FFT analysis
Audacity is a multi-track audio editor. For advanced analysis options you may be better to use MatLab.
Of course. Please submit a patch to implement your method and I'll be happy to forward it to the developers for consideration.fonon wrote:The best solution is my method.

No, I don't think so. You can't put back the bits that are not there.Monalizan wrote:so you dont see a chance to optimize the quality a bit?

Re: Tape Cassette Player/bought through Magazine/Audacity Fo
Do I reinstall the original 'Audacity' to obtain this 'dll'; or is there another newer download for Audacity? Look in the Audacity "Help menu > About Audacity". If your version is not Audacity 2.0.3, uninstall it and install Audacity 2.0.3 which you can get here: http://audacityteam.org/d...

Re: Stereo Recording - 1st track gets recorded in 2nd track
I know it because i could record in stereo...so it has to be a stereo input, right? So, when you talk into one microphone the waveform appears in one channel of the recording, and when you speak into the other microphone the waveform appears in the other channel? Is that what it does, or does talki...

Absolutely, but short and obvious names are useful while debuggingRobert J. H. wrote:It may be a good idea to define the property names more plug-in specific to avoid conflicts with other plug-ins that might use names like 'left' and or 'right' within *scratch*
Thanks for the comment.

How do you know that? Does it say somewhere? If it does, then does it also say what sort of sound card it is?julian swiszcz wrote:My sound card has a stereo microphone input

Re: Alternate, equal-length "Paste" command ("Patch?")
Hopefully this will work cross-platform. The maximum clipboard size has been raised from 100 thousand to 10 million samples (about 3 minutes 46 seconds at 44.1 kHz). With having the fade in/out and bigger clipboard this will probably be a big help to all those that want to "punch-in". Note...
