Re: Sound playing twice while recording/monitoring
How is the turntable connected to your computer?
How and where are the speakers connected?
(in fact, please describe as clearly as you can how the whole system is set up - we can't see the set-up)

Re: Karaoke plugin?
Ok thanks just wondering how do people post karaoke songs on youtube then? Many songs are available to buy as Karaoke CDs. The quality is variable, but many are very good recordings without vocals. They may be available in a special format for karaoke machines (that also display scrolling lyrics) o...

Re: How to record volume levels?
In order to know how loud the sound was in the room where you recorded, you need a dB meter . Re: Stereo Recording - 1st track gets recorded in 2nd track
Go to this screen in the Windows Sound Control Panel : http://wiki.audacityteam.org/w/images/c/c8/Vistarec.png What do you have listed there? Is there one and only one microphone icon? What is set as the default device (has a green tick in the lower right corner of the icon). If the microphone is no...

Re: EQ curve help
I posted an experimental plug-in for Audacity that can help you to do this. See this topic: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=70531 As it is an "experimental" plug-in, it is not very user friendly (in fact, not at all user friendly). Most of the details should be in th...

Re: Alternate, equal-length "Paste" command ("Patch?")
Just thinking Paul, this effect seems to be shaping up well as a solution to your request - If this effect had been already available and was called "Punch Copy / Paste Copy", would you have found it?

Re: Stereo Recording - 1st track gets recorded in 2nd track
It's looking like the problem is due to the sound card drivers.
In Audacity, click on "Help > Audio Device Info" (it may take a few moments for the info to pop up), then copy/paste the output into your reply.
