Re: MP3 conversion to cd format
For compatibility with most standard CD players you need to create an "audio CD" (not a "data CD" or "MP3 CD"). Also, use CDR disks (write once) rather than CDRW (re-writeable) or DVDs. Creating CDs requires a "CD burning" program (Audacity is an audio editor,...

Re: Punch Copy/Paste
I'm not sure what "Replace" means there if it doesn't mean "Fill". Perhaps it just means like the current paste effect when there is a selection ? For now I have renamed "Puch Copy" as "Punch Copy/Paste" as this plug-in does both copy and paste. I'm inclined ...

Re: Punch Copy/Paste
If you haven't noticed yet,..... It amazes me that I can spot a missing ")" at 50 paces, but I can be staring at misspelling for a week and not see it at all. Fixed now, So I think this meets the Audacity feature request for "Paste Fill" Yes I think it does (though it is not ava...

Re: this is unbelievable...
i'm really not savvy in that way lol. That's OK :) I'll try and explain in "non techy" terms..... To make it easier to visualise, let's imagine than instead of "16 bit" audio for CDs, it was just "4 bit" (in reality that would sound terrible ). In "4 bit" for...

Re: Alternate, equal-length "Paste" command ("Patch?")
In your documentation, did the link to keyboard_preferences.html format correctly? No it didn't. Well spotted. Fixed now. Perhaps you should emphasize that this "paste" leaves the selection unchanged in duration, which is the major point of it. Good idea. I've added a sentence to the top ...

Re: this is unbelievable...
all i want to do is amplify each channel to it's max without clipping and be done with it. i want NO NOISE ADDED TO MY WAV - just want to amplify it! Unfortunately, unless you are amplifying by an exact multiple of 2 the laws of physics are against you. For any other amplification amount the sample...
