Re: Labels wish-list

Most text and word processors don't allow SHIFT + DELETE to do anything. Wouldn't it be more useful to have SHIFT + DELETE delete the label if open for editing? It seems to be a developer decision to make "Delete+modifier" act the same as "Delete", but I don't know why and I don...

Re: Confusing documentation for sref

The Nyquist manual was written for standalone Nyquist, not for Nyquist in Audacity, In Audacity the environment is different. If you're working with effects, the start of the selection is always 0, and the end of the selection is 1 (local time) and returned sounds always start at 0 (regardless of an...

Re: Metadata

There isn't an Audacity 3. I presume that you mean Audacity 2.0.3.
The automatic pop-up of the Metadata Editor on export can be turned off in preferences.
You will find the setting in: "Edit menu > Preferences > Import / Export"

You will need to tell us about that. What are you trying to do with Audacity and what is the problem?

You will need to explain what you mean. Audacity does not record MIDI.

Re: Labels wish-list

I don't see in what way right-click (context key) is inaccessible. I've been looking into the possibility of "Remove Selected Labels" as a right click option, but there is a problem - the context menu is already tied to the track drop-down menu for the track in focus, so we can't access a...

Re: Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift adjusts high Sampling Rat

Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift is optimised for the audio frequency range (up to 20 kHz). If you need to stretch frequencies higher than this, change the track rate to 44100 Hz, then apply the effect, then change the track rate back. To change the track rate, see here: http://manual.audacityteam.org...

Re: Effects calling other effects

The main problem with that is for enabling Nyquist to find the other files.
See Robert's "Little Helper" plug-in as an example of including external files: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 03#p195503
Making this work cross-platform is not pretty.
