Re: "mime type invalid"
Try a known good MP3 file. Does that work? If not, then you will need to contact their website support about the problem.

Re: Does normalizing require upconverting to preserve qualit
will up-converting sample rate be a good idea before applying an effect? Like, 44100 to 96000, apply edit, back to 44100. I came across an article about a year ago that was all about how effects programs will inevitable make mistakes, and if the rate is 96000, those mistakes will be very small, and...

BAM! Audacity crashes!
If you're interested you could perhaps look into the problem and see if it is due to Nyquist crashing or Audacity crashing, and perhaps suggest a way to throw an error rather than crash.

Re: Labels wish-list
Probably the correct response is to provide another way to select labels without opening them for editing Throwing in an idea: Double clicking on an audio clip selects that audio clip, so how about if double clicking within a region label selected the region label? I'd also like a "Preview&quo...

Re: Equalization less capable under Mac OSX?
Very interesting... importing the curve exported from the Windows machine into Audacity on the Mac worked perfectly (many thanks again!) as can be seen from two of the attached screenshots. However, attempting to CREATE the same curve by using the same points to draw a curve in Audacity under Mac i...

Re: Does normalizing require upconverting to preserve qualit
in order to maximize quality, up-converting (bits, samples) is required before amplifying. By default Audacity will convert WAV files to 32 bit float format on import, which allows amplification to be performed with extremely high precision. Processing in Audacity is always in 32 bit float format s...

Look: documentation says, .... The documentation also says: "This function is intended for internal system use in implementing time warps." The measure for if it is a bug or not is whether or not it fulfils its intended purpose. I've not looked in detail at the problem, but perhaps try us...

Re: no sound on recording after installing external DAC
A "DAC" is a "Digital to Analogue Converter". It takes digital signals from the computer and converts them to an analogue signal which can be connected to your playback equipment. It is a "playback" device not a "recording" device.
