Re: Repeat last action
Is it operating now in the latest version ? As shown in the current manual, "Ctrl+R" is still "Repeat Last Effect " https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/effect_menu.html#repeat_last_effect Votes are logged on the Feature Requests page of the Audacity wiki for: Repeat last used ge...

Re: How do I notify change from Catalina to Big Sur
I'd recommend updating to Audacity 2.4.2 as it has some bug fixes: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/mac/

Re: Punch and Roll Distortion
Not outside: there is cross-fade as part of punch I think that thompsonhaire may be referring to Punch and Roll Record rather than "Punch Copy / Paste". If so, the problem may be that Latency correction needs to be set up more accurately (see: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/punch_and...

Re: Audacity Feature
That is a substantial difference. Yes, very substantial isn't it. I expect different projects will show greater or lesser savings, but after a few tests I've found that 7z compression gives impressive results. SQlite is really nice as an app file format. I agree, though I'm aware that not everyone ...

Please post a short example in WAV format so that we can see what you are referring to. (see: viewtopic.php?f=49&t=72887)

Re: Changes won't save
I am running 2.3.3 on Windows 10. The current version is 2.4.2 which is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ I would recommend updating at your earliest convenience. I had to restart my computer so I did "export as mp3_" and saved it with a ne...

Re: Audacity Feature
Is aup3 SQLite based? Yes. If so, there's a compressed SQLite format, SQLAR. I doubt that SQLAR will be used as a working format (Audacity reading / writing directly from / to SQLAR) due to the overhead incurred by compression / decompression. During Record and Play it is particularly important tha...

Re: importing mp3 fille error which can play on windows media player
I am trying to edit some MP3 files which I have on a usb drive. The files that were originally ripped from a CD load just fine, but those converted from tape do not load. Audacity 2.4.2 doesn't recognize the file type. Could you make one of those MP3s available for us to test (preferably a small fi...
